FUCK SPEED RACER

In case you haven't figured out already I am not that thrilled about the new Speed Racer movie. It's not that I have anything against the story as I was a big fan of the cartoon and loved the idea when I first heard they were making a live action movie. However I was looking forward to seeing Rose McGowan play the role of Trixie which was the original plan, but the studio made the last minute decision to give the role to someone else which I'm sure happens all the time but their reasoning is what really put me over the edge.




The studio released a statement saying they were afraid that Rose McGowan's fans wouldn't recognize her because she had undergone too much plastic surgery and no longer looked like the same girl. I can understand being concerned about the following of the stars of the movie, but to throw in the plastic surgery bit was totally uncalled for. Rose's appearance has indeed improved over the years but it hasn't been such a dramatic change that you can't see that it's her. Her looks have just changed with the times and she has gone a new direction with her appearance, even if she has had some work done it isn't something over the top or too much.

I am aware that this of course has nothing to do with me but being that I absolutely adore Rose in every thing she does, it would be impossible for me to enjoy the movie knowing what could have been. Although I have always enjoyed Cristina Ricci's work as well I just don't think she was right for the role. So in efforts to take a personal stand in the matter I am not going to see the movie and will get many of my friends to do the same, please note that I am aware that it wouldn't really do much but it is more for my piece of mind than anything.

I always mention how he has an uncanny talent for producing beautiful photos which I have always been a fan of. Which is why it came as a nice surprise to find out that I was scheduled to shoot with him while I was in Fort Lauderdale. The whole time we were shooting I took mental notes of what he was saying and the directions he gave. I figured he obviously knew what he was talking about and that I could learn a few things that could help in the future. Here are some of the photos from the shoot that I have fallen in love with. Anyone who has ever seen this movie knows that Scar may not be the most evil of villains but he definitely takes the cake as far as one of the shadiest. I mean all he he did was kill his brother and convinced his nephew it was his fault in order to be king.




It has been Angel Benton's mission lately to find a Disney villain that represents each of us in the group. Everyone already knows from a former post of mine that Angel himself is most like Vanessa (who is actually Ursula in The Little Mermaid) which I think fits him quite well. Brandon Baker was dubbed the Queen Of Hearts from Alice In Wonderland and I can definitely see that. Well the verdict finally came in and it seems that Scar has become my inner villain. It's funny because now that I thought about it, I do see myself in him. Crazy

My First Tattoo

This is a video of me accepting my award for most versatile escort. Although I was a little skeptical that I would win because of how close I work with Rentboy and the relationship I have with everyone within the company. It is no secret that Rusty was nominated for the same category last time but didn't win which a lot of us found ridiculous considering how established he is in the escort community and such but that's all in the past.

Unfortunately I am not the only one who brought home this title, I share it with Chase Evans. Apparently there was tie with votes between the two of us which personally strikes me a bit odd. I am not usually one to question the decisions Rentboy makes and I don't intend to seem unappreciative or ungrateful but I am not clear on how it's possible for two finalist to end up with an equal amount of votes. My statistics could be off but considering the number of finalists and the amount of time voters had, the chances of there being a tie would be nearly impossible. However I guess stranger things have happened in my life so it wouldn't surprise me if I beat the odds on this one.

There was no doubt that I had the hottest dates in the house. With Jesse on one side and Cody Springs on the other I definitely got a lot of attention from the media. It was a little hard to get through the crowd because we had to stop and take a photo every other step but I was loving it. After the red carpet and a few drinks the show started and Jesse and I took our seats near the front next to the fabulous Chi Chi Larue.

The winners were being called one by one and it was humorous because I had voted for everyone that won which just shows how much I know my profession. I was very happy to see Jonathan Lowe win since he is fairly new to the escort community and has already built quite a name for himself. Also happy to see Barret Long win because I do adore him (not in a sexual way like most) he has been very active in the Rentboy scene as far as events and parties go and it was cool to work side by side with him.

When the awards were over we all made a round through the crowd and then made an exit to head to the after party. The party was held at Bobby Trendy's shop which was quite packed by the time we got there. It was definitely a scandalous party that's for sure, Jesse and Cody were definitely getting a lot of attention with the crowd so I took the opportunity to go around and thank everyone for coming out and their support. After a while I was ready to call it a night because I had to get up early for my flight to Las Vegas. I gathered my dates and headed out. More on my trip to Las Vegas later

So I know it has been quite some time since I have updated my blog and I do give you my most sincere apologies about that. So much has happened since I last updated you. Not only did I have my birthday in which I turned 22 but the International Escort Awards was also last weekend. Then right after all the commotion I had to hurry to Las Vegas to spend some time with one of my friends and celebrate both his and my birthday together. Then rather than returning home on Tuesday as scheduled I decided to stay in Vegas and spend some time with my brother and his boyfriend. Aye so much to catch you up on but I will do it slowly but surely!

Weekend Beach Trip

Santa Monica Beach

The other day it was a very nice day out and since I had just gotten back to Los Angeles I thought it would be a great idea to go to the beach. I called a few friends to see what they were up to and before long we had a group together. My friend Mark didn't get off work until about 3 so I called Destiny and told her (his name is Kenneth but we call him Destiny still) to get ready. I always love hanging with Destiny cause he is such a wild character.

When Mark picked me up we headed over to get Destiny at the San Vicente Inn. Once we picked her up the party started. We were getting trashed in the car before we even got to the beach. So by the time we made it to Santa Monica we were pretty much GONE. First thing we had to do was get into our swimming trunks so we headed to the bathrooms that turned out to be pretty dumpy which was actually kind of hott.

One of the funniest moments of the trip was when Destiny was chasing a seagull with a stone she found in the sand. We always make fun of the fact that Destiny is from the Islands and that she had to chase her food growing up. I will be dammed if the bitch didn't grab a stone and hide behind one of the pier columns waiting for a bird to come by. It was quite humorous if I do say so myself! After walking the beach for a while we came across this jungle gym type playground which we stopped at to play on the swings and stuff. While we were playing on the swings there was this absolutely gorgeous boy taking advantage of the rings to work out. I had got distracted for a bit and fell of the swings, it was fairly embarrassing.

On the way back to the car we stopped in some wet sand where I wrote RENTBOY in it and made Destiny snap a photo next to it. I figured what a fabulous way to advertise huh. There were also a few snap shots with the sun behind Mark and Destiny that came out quite artistic. In all it was a great day for many reasons. There is nothing better than spending the day with my friends and the best place to do that is the beach. My mind is always filled with alot of stress and stuff but when I am at the beach I am calm and at peace. It was really nice.

No not like the porno, we were actually in the woods. While in South Carolina visiting Cicero's therapist we decided to take a walk down the nature trail by the office. Halfway down the trail is this little terrace thing that was built up into the trees which was really quite beautiful. Looking out through the trees and onto the water brought back a lot of memories. It really made me feel happy and serene (not to be confused with SERENA cause I haven't felt like her in a while). Everyone who has talked to me on the phone has mentioned how much stronger my accent gets every time I come home, I guess the redneck just comes out in me when I'm at home.

Although I have been back in Wilmington for a few days now it didn't really hit me until the other day when we ate at this southern style family owned restaurant called See Wee in Awendaw South Carolina. Now before I go into telling you how fucking amazing this place is let me explain why we were in Awendaw in the first place. You see my best friend Cicero (like myself) suffers from a severe case of BiPolar disorder so he goes to see a therapist twice a month. However, instead of going to a local one like a normal person he goes to one all the way in Charleston South Carolina about 4 hours away. So that's the reason we were driving through Awendaw and stopped off at See Wee.

Okay now to talk about the fabulousity of this establishment. The interior is very country style with dated wood paneling and brick walls. Originally it was a general store in the early 1900's and was later turned into the restaurant but decided to keep it in it's original state rather than redoing it. It was so great to be reminded how nice and friendly people from the south are, everyone was so nice and fun to be around and that always makes the experience better. Our waitress was the really nice girl named Kristy who we laughed and joked around with the whole time we were there. I know she was loving us.

Now let's talk about the food. I was abso-fucking-lutely loving the fact that they served FRIED GREEN TOMATOES as an appetizer. For those who don't know, they are a southern tradition that go back generations and I can't tell you how much time and effort goes into a perfect recipe for the batter they use. It's like a man's BarBQ recipe or a woman's chili recipe, you get the idea. Growing up my mother and grandmother made the best FRIED GREEN TOMATOES there ever were, The recipe has been in our family for many many years, so I was a little skeptical about trying theirs but I did. They were just amazing. There is just no other way to explain it. I decided to also try their fried eggplant which i wasn't a big fan of but it could possibly be because it had to follow the tomatoes so it may have not got a fair shot *wink* Another thing that I fucking love about eating in the south is the fact that you can get SWEET TEA to drink almost anywhere. Anyone who has ever been to my house can tell you how much I love drinking SWEET TEA because there is always a pitcher or two in my refrigerator. When I first came to Los Angeles I remember asking for SWEET TEA at some restaurant and they brought me unsweetened. After complaining about it I was informed that you have to put the sugar in the tea yourself. Lets face it sugar doesn't really dissolve right in already chilled tea and I don't like my tea to be grainy. Just one of the many reasons the south is so much better.
